Going to Roberts a few time this week and wondering what ramp has had the least amount of theft from cars/trucks. Usually launch at Jordan Park but have heard of some problems there. Any Info is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Where is Jordan Park? I mean, where on the lake is it located?

I would think the state park is the safest because there is good visibility from the ramp to the parking lot. Second would be Jordan and least safest is Buck.

I think the free ramp at Pecan is the worst

I have never had any trouble at Pecan.
Its free
But I learned a long time ago if it aint locked your giving an invite to take. Nothing worse than fishing all day and coming home with no straps or Motor Brace. Been there done that.

Isle De Bois probably the safest. Never had trouble and have launched out of most ramps. Johnson would probably rank second safest but its on the north end so its extra miles coming from the south.

I guess this shouldn't surprise me, but I have never had any problem out here at Alan Henry. Gee, we leave out boats in the slip fully geared to walk to the john and nothing is ever touched, e.g. I've seen rigs parked in the lot with all the windows down.

I have never had any problems ar Ray Bob. I usually put in at Buck creek. Jordan has alot off traffic so I wouldnt think there would be a problem there. Just park as close to the ramp as you can if you are worried. I also wouldnt leave anything in your truck or truck bed that you dont want stolen.

I don't know how far Jordan Park is from Sanger, but I was at the Sanger ramp 2 weeks ago. Ramps are good there.

I always use Isle Du Bois ramp. I have never heard of any problems there. I also ALWAYS see state park vehicles coming in and out of the parking lot (maintenance, park police, game wardens, etc.) This may keep any would-be thiefs from striking there. And if you are going to go to Ray Bob frequently, the $60 state park pass will pay for itself in just a few trips ($5.00 per person to get in the park with a manned guard house at the entrance). That may also deter thieves.
