well I went to check my jug lines today, I have one missing
I'm thinking a big fish took off with it, it only had a brick tied to it for a weight- pretty light. I have heavier weight's
setting up, otherwise it woulda had a heavier better weight on. I checked them to late, didn't have enough light to go
down stream looking for it. Arg, i'm so p*ssed.

have a feeling it will be a LONG journey especially if they release water from whitney

Had a 25 lb blue move one for me one day. He feed about 9 people at a fish fry. Keep looking, the guest of honor at your next fish fry might just show up.

i thought about heading father downstream. But im skeptical now
if it was a big fish that took it b/c it was baited with one fairly small creek chub. i had it along the bank of the river probly 14 feet from the edge. I went about 1/4 mile from where i set it, no see it. I bet some a**hole took it.

I don't think a duck hunter will find it, season ended in Jan. Anyway, the duck hunter will only take the jug and paint mallard green. dance2 I've caught a 19 lb yellow cat on a crappie minnow before. This time of year the big ones will hit small bait they can suck in. Anyway, got to love us duck hunters!

I jug fish regularly, why don't you watch them? I drop then where i found fish, don't drop them hoping for fish later, so there is no reason for me to drop anchor or drift sock and fish with my poles there also. will cut down on lost jugs.

my stuff out when I'm done, b/c I want it for next time & i'm not
going to leave a hazard out there.

never had my lab tangled up in a trotline or jug line. But I have had one tangled up in monofilament with ----- bass lure on it. I duck hunt in shallow water, if they set a trotline there, they are a huge rookie. I also carry a very sharp Bowie knife, I want to get that line cut as fast as possible. Sallysue, what type of retriever you got?

Only thing worse than getting your prop hung in someones jug line if getting your prop hung in your own jug line.
