hi, Have an '08 Sequoia. I am trying to decide what type of roof rack to get. Considering a Thule Hull-a-Port or similar (down side is the top of the car is really high and my kayak weighs 70 pounds), a Hullavator (cool but pricey... and costs this much just for 1 rack?), or some type of rack with rollers so I can roll the kayak up the back by myself (see Malone StingerLift Assist). I like the idea of the Hullavator until I see the price, and I like the idea of something like the Malone StingerLift, but I am concerned with my Sequoia and its spoiler the rollbar wont extend out enough to protect the car. Also, I want the option to mount two in future if I need to so I can carry 2 boats. All can be seen here: http://www.orsracksdirect.com/kayak-canoe-racks.htmlAny advice?

I have never used the hullavator, but have a female neighbor that uses one daily. She is mid 50's, has a Chrysler minivan and throws her yak on the thing light it weighed nothing. She praises it every time it is mentioned.
If I ever have to put mine on a rack, I will go the extra bucks for it.

brazos angler, make one yourself. ask the waco kid. he made a great rack for his durango. very practical, very cheap, and very sturdy. it fits well, and easily attaches to any roof rack system. also is easy to take off. send him a pm, or maybe he will ring in. you might also give him a call.
also, he's a good guide on the brazos.
call him up Dean 254-315-3999
later, troutbum
