I know this may be a dumb question but is there a easy or even semi easy way to remove old tile from floor. It was put down in the 80's and has got to go. Any serious remarks will be helpful. Thanks

Look down the thread. I had some of these guys give me some good advice about the same thing. You'll find it useful.

Good luck!

I bought a scraper with a long handle on it. Home Depot has them. It worked great for ceramic tile on concrete. I used it on some wood parque (sp) flooring and it was hell getting up!

old style here, growing up with my old man doing tile for 30+ yrs I had a hammer and a chisel and a scrapper my whole life and that was the only way he would let me do it since it keeps down on the dust and leaves a smooth surface to work with when you are done.I wish he would have let me use an air chisel, dang now I am going to have to ask him about that and why I had to do all that manual labor, but being with him I wouldn't dare try anything else.SORRY, started having a relapse, good luck!
