Hi, I am a new implant to Houston, I live near Lake Houston dam and do not have a boat. I was wondering is there any place near that I can fish from the bank to catch spawning whites or crappie? Thanks for any reply

You can fish at Duessen's park. Not sure how much luck you will have for spawning whites or crappie though. Might also try off Huffman-Cleveland Road in Huffman. Couple of spots along Luces Bayou that you can fish. Hope that helps!

I think you can fish Eisenhour Park beside the dam and also there is some way to access behind the dam but I don't know exactly how. Have been there in a boat and there are a lot of people that were there bank fishing for crappie, catfish, whites and stripers when I was there. Some came down trails from Eisenhour Park on one side of the dam, but the other I don't know how they got there.
