I have striped a 14' jon down to nada and am currently welding up all of the rivet holes I drilled out. It is a blank canvas so to speek. When I get around to planing space for the live well I have alot of questions. How many gallons is standard, how many gallons is to many for a 14' jon, how many gallons per min. should the pump cycle, is insulation that important, and whatever else I am forgetting to ask. Thanks for your help in advance.

as big as possible. at least 20 gallons per well. 500 gph should suffice. insulation is a biggy if you fish in the hot months, as water temp in the wells should not exceed 80 degrees or the fish could parish or stress. pump should cycle at an adjustable rate from 1 to 5 min. need to have at least two pumps, one for introducing and changing water and the other for cycling the water in the well. NOTE if it is hot out pumping or cylcing hot surface water into an aluminum live well is surely to kill fish. hope this helps.
