hey coble im thinking that big cotton wood that fell in the water is going to hold a lot of crappie if the water will rise. And don't feel bad about the jigs...one of those orange bobbers in that tree was mine from the other day lol.

Can you get by the big tree with a boat? can you put in at the buddy stewart ramp and get up that far? I want to go tomorrow but I think it might be too low for a boat.

Well I'm thinking of driving out there from Arlington and walking along the bank. After I drop my kids off at school. Any suggestion?

yes you can get to the tree by boat/canoe...but i wouldn't suggest you bring a very big boat. We launched from Buddy Stewart park and headed up river...you CANNOT miss this tree. (it almost blocks the whole Nolan) Jigs4life i would suggest walking down the banks with a jiggin pole and fishing every set of roots you can find. There are a lot of stumps in the Nolan, but they always are the first to get fished. In other words...look for the cover someone might have missed.

Yeah I was out there Friday Morning about 8:30 didn't have any luck on the banks. Did walk on the falling tree there did catch one black nose crappie not a keeper but was thinking I was going to get in a mess of crappie there. I've should of brought my wader with me. Not sure when I'll head out there again.

Coble, Good to meet you out there and I had a OK day, we fished alot without catching but it did finally pay off. Here is a black nosed I caught up there. This is the first time I have seen one of these in Cleburne. I caught about 7 of them out there, none of them keepers.
