Why do i not hear much about Ray hubberd on these fourms? Is the fishing that bad?

look under the white bass and bank fishing posts. rowlett creek, etc. it is the longest thread on the forum....the creek feeds ray hub.

anybody got any tips for the crappies this time of year on hubbard, is there a part of the lake tha is better for them. i caught 1 crappie there once upon a time.

I used to live right by Hubbard and it took me 3 good years to really get to where I could catch crappie even remotely consistently. General crappie strategy for this time of year definitely applies. As the season progesses, you gotta think outside the box a bit. I would invest at least a day of scounting/graphing likely target areas.....you'll find some good stuff if you look for it.
I agree with looking under the white bass for this time of year. If you can find balls of shad in/around channels.....you'll find a crappie or two....but then again, those sandies will prolly eat you alive. lol
