The prostaff has only been shown a few screen shots but let me tell you, it is UNREAL! They say that there is ALOT more to the side-scan that they can't tell us yet except that it is going to be awesome! Just with the side-scan screen shots that I have seen, along with the new features of the HDS...It's just unbelievable!

please lets not go down this road. If there's any negtive remarks towards lowrance or hummingbird. I will have the moderater's delete this post. I thought I would share this info. to my fellow tffer's.

I figure, I let my fellow tffer's be one first to know in the USA.

I've been holding out for them to come out with something, hope it's been worth the wait. Been looking at the HDS units hope to have one soon.

I am surprised to see this also.
The Lowrance detail and their mapping may make for some great competition between the two. It can only get better, I hope.

I will wait until the sidescan capable application is available before I make my decision on buying one. Since they will probably use a different transducer you should be able to order a unit complete with the proper equipment rather than upgrading and having leftover parts.

I am off next week and it seems I may go watch them fish one day.

Thanks for the heads up!

Do ya'll know if it will be a single or dual transducer application for the "side scan" and strait down sonar?

Will the side scan be compatible with the older Lowrance units, such as the X-112? I know I can go HDS with the broadband sounder 1.
