We shouldn't and we couldn't but wouldn't it be grand to have these monsters in Caddo?

Yes I am sure the weather here is too hot. Strange the chain pickerel can make it though, and they are cousins. They are top notch predators, at the top of the food chain. They may eat some of our LMB if we were to have them here. They look like a lot of fun to catch. However I cannot see me pulling one in on the fly. I don't think I am strong enough for that at all, not even close. Some of those things are monsters. I like looking at pictures of them, and seeing them caught on tv. They really are vicious looking with those big ol teeth too. I would be afraid to stick my hand down near their big chompers...lol.

Nice fish there, Dr. Evil. Looks toothy.

And Gray, I've spent the last 25 years trying to find some excuse to go to the boundary waters canoe area and somehow it's always come up on the wrong side of the priority line.

This Pike situation might change things...someday. frown

Ya got a nice firm grip on that fish. They are mean little cusses. A couple almost had my son for a snack. I need to get one of those boga stick things...but they are expensive. I am sure there is something that would work, that is not name brand. I rarely get into fish with teeth like the chain pickerel. Anyways, nice fish. I think they are cool looking. The markings are very nice in the sunlight too.

Whats the big deal we have them critters hear in Texas. We just call them Gar. We have more of them gator gar, long nose gar, short nose gar, spotted gar... No need to travel thousands of miles to catch a gar when they are all around us. nuts bolt
