I usually fish for hybrids on lake somerville during march-may and do extremely well..... then switch to specks in poc during june -august...teal seas in september.... and reds and ducks through nov. through jan and feb....well is usually open....... can you catch hybrids through the cold months like december jan?

Yes ..absolutely you can!!! ive caught my biggest hybrids in jan-feb. Live bait ( gizzard shad) is the go to bait, if you cant find them 2ozslabs work good to as long as you "deadstick" them

the best thing about the winter is you dont have to deal with the people unless you have a yellow boat then people tend to always want to fish right next to you.
