[quote=Alton K]I'm not related to Carrot stix - I don't even use them. I do fish quite a bit with Rocky Robison, who does use their rods exclusively. He swings every single fish into the boat (too lazy to bend over) - we've caught alot of fish together and I've never seen him break one!
It's not laziness Alton, just to fat to bend over!!!

I have bought two of the gold stix and love them. I am going back friday to get a parabolic. The feel is outstanding. I have had no problems with them but Bass Pro said to just bring it back and they would replace it for life. They did not mention 30 dollars.

I spoke to Cabela's and without a receipt, they will either refund you with a gift certificate or exchange them for the same item.

There should be no shipping cost to the customer from Lake Fork Tackle if they are replacing one that is in stock. You can make your own assumptions as to what Lake Fork Tackle is doing with the $30.00
I would assume they are using it to cover the shipping of one rod to their shop to cover the one they give you for a replacement. Sounds like their store warranty is one year and then it's a factory warranty. That was a pretty ugly comment about some of the most honest folks I know!

According to the e21 Carrot Stix warranty, they have an over the counter warranty replacement (no cost) and if a dealer isn't nearby, then you mail $30 and a piece of the broken rod to the mfg. Here is the link. http://www.e21sports.com/fishing/faqs.php

I'm Ronnie Parker, co-owner of Lake Fork Trophy Lures with Mark Pack and Shawn Preator, and I am posting here to correct at least one misstatement of the truth on this thread. First of all, we have NEVER collected $30 for the replacement of a Carrot Stix rod, nor is that OUR POLICY. We follow all manufacturers' warranty policies at a minimum, and we have ALWAYS treated our customers the way we would like to be treated. That means we have always replaced products immediately upon their return with the same or a like product, at the customers' choice, without a charge unless one is required to be paid to the manufacturer(very rare)as their policy may state. We have run our business from our very first day many years ago with integrity, honesty and a focus on exceptional customer service. Additionally, Ernie Dye, our Director of Retail Sales, works directly for me and has at at least 30 years of industry experience, and I have never met a more honorable man who works very hard to satisfy EVERY one of our customers, as evidenced by our many repeat customers and our customers' frequent positive comments. Finally, we are honored to sell not just our own quality lures, but many of the finest other fishing products in the industry. This includes outstanding rod companies such as E21/Carrot Stix, Falcon, All Pro, and recently were honored to add the outstanding new rods of Gary Dobyns. Our reels include Shimano, Daiwa, and Abu Garcia. We strongly represent ALL of these great maufacturers with the highest of integrity. I sincerely appreciate each of you who reads this for your business and encourage you to call me on my cell 214 215-4442 24/7 or email me at rparker@lftlures.com with any comments or questions or if you just want to "talk fishing", including even you Mitch. Again, we all thank each of you for your loyal long-time support and business! This email will now be posted in our store to reflect our policies and continuing intent to satisfy all customers. The truth is always relevant and important! Ronnie Parker CEO and Co-owner Lake Fork Trophy Lures 1000 E. Highway 69 Emory, TX 75440 800 408-2028 www.lftlures.com

I do not see where All Pro has an over the counter exchange policy so maybe that is what the deal is. However I do see a LIMITED lifetime warranty that is up to the manufacturer's discretion. http://www.allprorods.com/warrantyinfo.htmI will make sure that Mr. Parker can see this post and visit with you about what happened. I would suggest you speak directly with him and give him the chance to hear you out. Can't say i know many folks as honest and committed to customer service as the LFT folks. Again please give him a call and let him know your concrns. Thanks

No, I am not mistaken. We have never refused to replace a rod or reel that was returned. You are welcome to take your business anywhere you would like, but as I posted last night, here is my personal cell 214 215-442 if you would like to resolve this in any manner you deem fair. I hope to hear from you asap. Thanks. Ronnie Parker

I can vouch for the people at LFT the are top noch. If you go into the store with an open mind they will treat you as fair as any place I have ever been. Ronnie is a great guy and if there ever is a misunderstanding and you let him know about it, and he will take care of it personally, I know from experience. I recomend that if you are ever in Emory then you should stop on by and check em they will treat you right.

i went to BPS last night, they said they will only swap if you have receipt from them....maybe its just the person you talk to. each person has their own opinion on the warranty. thats what is keeping me from getting one, i dont want to be out $150 after 1 fish possibly.
