My son and I are thinking about hitting Gibbons Creek tomorrow and was wondering if anyone had been there lately and how the fishing is there. We have never been there so any tips would be appreciated. THANKS

I've been a trucker for yrs so haven't been able to fish as much as i'd like , but i'm trying to learn. My son goes with me , so that is cool,he is trying to learn also, we both want to become better fisherman.

Phil go over to the hot water outlet on the left side and cast over the cable with spinnerbaits to start out. Caught 3 over 5 last week there. Later go to the shoreline on the west side of the lake next to the power plant where the old lilly pad stems are and throw a chartruse with gold blades spinner bait in the pad stems. The bass have just recently moved up and you should be able to catch some real good ones. Caught several in that area as well.
The wind will be bad so you may be limited to just the South bamks but go in Sulphur Creek on the South side and fish the same old pad stems and the are holding good bass also.
Hopes this helps and you and your son has a good day.
