I caught this little guy on the Vine today. I'm thinking it's a smallie. What do you think? If it is, it's the first smallie I've ever caught from GV.

No doubt at all, it's a spot. Notice the corner of the jaw does not extend past the eye. Not even close in color or markings to a smallie. Nice spot though.

It's a Spot. Although at times they do look like Smallies. This is one I caught on Grapevine back in Dec . It really did look like a smallie.

Rows of dots on the belly give it away.

I know it is nothing the color of these, but I figured they just might be a lot lighter in color out of GV. Oh well, I'll keep trying for my first smallie from the Vine. Thanks for the clarification.

Nice fish Okie, but a spot all the way! The only two smallies I have ever caught on the Vine were just as colorful as the one in your livewell pic, healthy as can be. With the new stockings we should start to see some decent ones by this time next year!

Everyone knows there ain't no fish in DeVine.
Hey he looks like this fellow I pulled out last month. He probably still can't shut his mouth.
