Got my comfort troll in today. Now comes the hard part cutting the hole in the deck of my 2002 Skeeter ZX 225. I am wondering if anybody has advice on the install of a comfort troll on a skeeter.

This may sound funny but the first time I installed a recess tray I had a friend make the cut. It was easier to watch someone else do it. I've put in three and they trays and they are well worth the effort. One of the best additions you can make to a boat.

Yeah, dont freak out when you see that big ol' hole in your boat, like I did. It installs pretty easy. Just use the template and seal it up good when you screw it in. They are greatness when you get them all finished.

I would like to put one in my 93 Pantera II. But when I pulled the front panel out this weekend I seen there is a cross rib running from top to bottom. I am not sure if there is an opening in there with enough room for it. Has anybody done one on this old of a Basscat?

I took the front storage lid and box out so I could get under there and look. On my zx 210 there is a box of some sort under the front pedalstal area.
Like everybody said the hard part is actually cutting the hole.
The one thing I did not do is to drill holes in the corner so the corners are radius cut instead of a 90 degree cut.

Just wish I would have done it sooner!

Sounds kind of scarey.

The hardest part for me was making the first cut. After that, it was gravy. One of the best additions I have made to my boat.

I just installed one last week in my skeeter. Like everyone else I didnt like cutting a hole in the boat but it worked out OK. Havent fished with it yet but seems very comfortable. Highly reccomended, very well built.
