I know it's almost super bowl time, but I wanted to try and get this question asked before I buy/trade for a new reel. I have a Revo SX that I use for most of my applications (3/8 oz to 3/4 oz), but I need a reel for throwing smaller crankbaits (1/4 oz). It will be paired with a medium 6'6 BPS Crankin Stick. Here are some of my options. 1.Curado or Citica E's. 2. Citica 200 D. 3. Get another Revo SX. I am rather new to BC's and just looking for preference. Thanks in advance everyone.

Personally I use Ardent XS600. I throw all kind of lite stuff even 1/8oz ahskeyheads.

The Revo is very good with light baits. I also like the Chronarch 50mg and you can pick one up from Tackle Warehouse for $168 shipped.

my fav is a curado 101D/Chronarch 51mg. I'm sure the 200E's throw light stuff well as well.
Absolutely not a Citica 200D though. My Abu 5500C4's throw as well or better than those. They may be made well, but casting ability was not that reel's strongsuit. I had 3 of those, and my BIL has 2 of them and he hated them for what he paid for them.

I don't need one, but I ordered 3. They're getting hard to find and impossible to find at that price. What's crazy is I have a buddy that bought some TW gift cards before Xmas for 10% off, so he paid a little more than $150 for his.

You already have Revos so stick with them. The SX or STX will throw light stuff just fine.

I've got to concur with jaredk. The Team Daiwa Sol is an excellent choice because of it's low mass spool. A low mass spool, and excellent bearings are the ticket for casting light lures. TFP

Try the Revo Premier it has a much lighter spool than the other Revos, which results in a faster start up.The SX has about the heaviest spool of all the Revos

Thanks for all your input guys. I actually ended up picking a mg51 from Tackle Warehouse for $168 shipped. I figured I couldn't pass it up. It just came the other day, but I haven't had a chance to put it on a rod yet. It won't see water for a few weeks as the water in N. Illinois is still hard. Thanks again for your help.

The Ardent 1000 is awsome at throwing light lures. It's awesome throwing anything! Seriously, a friend of mine sent me one to try out for awhile. I played with it yesterday at a local pond and it was unreal. Can't wait to sling traps with it this weekend.
