Finally got an 8 pound buffalo and plan to drift for blues on Saturday. I have done this in the past with limited success. What is the best depth and any location help would be appreciated. I have a drift sock and bee ready holders now all I need a a little info and a lot of skill.
Thanks,
Woodrow

Around the spillway is usually good, alot of Humps,I'm talking just north of the spillway 200 yards or so,In front of green house..If the wind is a problem, try the island close to 334 ,you can use the island as a wind break.
Report back Good Luck

I'd definitely stay on the south side of the lake and even down a little north of the dam. I'd use shad if I could get any.

May or June, depends on the water tempature and length of days more than the month. If I am not mistaken they spawn around the same time as channels but maybe just a little earlier. Like I said, I might be wrong.

I have had better success with using buffalo for blues when fishing shallow, fresh dead shad works better for me when drifting. You should be able to catch some shallow blues up North at CC, just find some timber & fish the edges & throw a few baits up in the middle of any opening.
