Went out last Sunday p.m. to the local creek and slayed em! Caught 63 with 29 keepers standing in the same spot for over 2 hours....
Went back Saturday a.m. with a buddy and hammered em, but a lot of small ones had moved in. Landed one HAWG and kept a handful of others. Water temp is warming up and the bigguns will be moving in soon. BETTER GET A HOOK WET!!!!

hmmm, no pictures, no info on which creek (not even a hint), no info on lure/color. This is the 3rd/4th bragging thread in a row without any useful info. What a tease. However... Nice catch though! at least post some pictures of that HAWG!

It would appear that there are some around here who would rather troll for fisherman then fish.

Guys, don't get down on him for not sharing his spot. Maybe it's like some of the spots I've found before where they're really only in one little area, and if someone is there when you get there, you're up a creek where the fish aren't. I lucked into a spot last spring where I slammed the crappie, 26 caught, 25 were keepers, with only 3 that needed measuring (went home as soon as I caught the last keeper). Total weight was 26.5 lbs. Problem...the whole place gets crowded if there's more than 3-4 people fishing.

No fish is too good for the grease.

And there are some on here who want everything handed to them rather than go out and look for themselves, LIKE SOME OF US DO!

As for "useful" info, how much more can i do than tell you what conditions i caught them in, how deep the water is, how far down they are in that water, and what color jig they hit and how the jig was presented!!

I refuse to tell you exact location or drag you with me. GO FIND YOUR OWN, using the info given! Hell i learned 95% of mine on a hit an miss basis, but learn from the misses!!! What makes you guys so much more special than us who are willing to take that step?

I give out info on pm's to many of you and it still doesn't seem to be enough.

When i see folks like t-fly telling some of you to stick it(in kinder and gentler terms), he gets a standing ovation from this peanut gallery, and others i have talked to have the same thoughts but don't express them like i do! Enough is enough!

You guys claim you can't go and have this and that to do, well i got news for you so do we! AND I WORK 2 JOBS, and still find time to "go find my own", why can't you?

Rudy

Catfish and Rudy hit it right on the head. You just gotta get out there and find em. And yeah it is hit and miss, but that just part of it.

There are plenty of creeks and rivers to explore and nothing is more rewarding then finding them on your own anyhow.
Just my 2 cents worth.

I've spent several hours exploring this winter myself... carrying hand held trimmers with me to clear out potential spots to make them even fishable. One of the early spots I found became overrun with people and now it's not even worth going to. I've found a couple of other spots since then that again I made fishable with my trimmers and are a good 1/2 mile walk or more from the closest parking area... The last thing I'm going to do is give turn by turn directions to people and run the increased risk of walking the long distance to these spots only to find them overrun with people and trash once I get there. It's amazing what you can find just doing a little exploring on one nice weekend day.

If I could figure out how to post a pic on this forum, I'd give you a taste of the HAWG..
Location I must say is NO secret. There were people beside me and down stream from me not catching a thing. You just have to do your homework and research. I've been fishing this area since 1983 and consistantly land stringers full of fish.

Lure selection was slip bobber and plastic minnow body on a 1/16 oz lead jighead in about 3 to 5 feet of water. 6lb test mono line. Ultra light tackle.

Rudy, common its just fishing man, dont need to get angry... You give out very useful info and I myself have used them. We all understand where you are coming from. The OP in this thread lacks ALOT of info, but even I was just kidding when I made the comment about its "usefulness". No one is asking to give the exact pin point location, but at least knowing which creek would be very helpful to a lot of new fishermen. I mean, what do you expect when people get teased? I personally catch a lot of fish (Stripers & Hybrids) and I could literally post tons of threads like this as well, but no one would benefit from it. I apologize if I got you all worked up, its nothing personal. Hundreds of fishermen contribute info every year, thats what makes this discussion forum a wonderful place to be.
