They are installing underground links between the small feeder creeks.
Northwest Highway from Lawther to Buckner is going to be raised out of the the flood plane. I believe it will be about 8 feet higher than it is now all the bridges will be torn down and rebuilt. I am not sure if the final plans had earth banks or concrete walls. Should take a couple of years great ...more traffic for 2 years

It's amazing that guys from Greenville, Ellis County, Allen think they know more about WRL that the local regulars. The water feeding the lake and exiting the lake happens to be some of the cleanest water found in any area lake. The fish caught out of the lake rarely have fungus spots, and their proportions clearly show that they are eating well.

And yes those fish out of that creek are quite tasty, and whoever does not want to eat them from that creek means more for me.

Take a chill pill..I know the folks from Allen was directed to me...as you can clearly see it was a humorous joke...I fished WRL a few times and YES I ate the fish (crappie, sandies)...didnt mean to ruffle any feathers... Allen, TX signing out!

Just don't eat those brown floating fish with eyes that look like corn kernels.
