After a 2 year fishing break, finally hiting cc again. Last time I was there FastGuy was nice enough to show Catfishsalsa and I a few hybrid spots and introduced us to the famous sassy shad. Here is my schedule let me know if this sounds like a winner.

Sunrise- Key Ranch look for any fish surfacing and birds working. Go to various landmarked houses where I always had good luck catching

9:00am Twin Creek Point fish vertically & Look for birds

10:30 Merrimac Hump Slab & Jig combo Look for birds

12:00-2:00 Visit marked GPS locations

2:00-3:00 clean a limit of sandies and hybrids

Yesterday Fastguy and I found hybrids in 45ft suspended at 20. The whitebass were in about 20-23ft of water. Good luck

I would start a little later and plan on staying a little longer. smile
The hybrids have been tough to come by, best results have been dead sticking a Dead Assassin over schoools of shad, time consuming but it works.
I caught 6 today, 3 legal and three short, bigger fish came over shad, smaller fish came at the long ridge in 19' to 22'.
I caught 28 decent sand bass at the long ridge as well.
49* water, wind from the NW at 12/16.
Most of the sand bass came on a #41 from Moe's.

Maybe I'll show, then again maybe not. Wouldn't want to ruin anyone's day.

Had to call it quits early as wind started picking up, we fished very hard only landed about 20 sandies, most of them were those stupid small yellow sandies. I did see a game warden though first time ever. some were caught on Merrymac others next to a house made of rock somewhere close by.
