Why don't the Texas parks and wild life take the fish out of squaw creek and stock them in lakes that got hit by the golden alge like possum kingdom grandberry and lake Whitney

Not a good idea to spread around fish that are probably toxic coming from a power plant lake.

The fish arnt toxic it's close cause 9/11 Sorry, guess I did not make myself clear. I did NOT mean it is closed because the fish are toxic. Many times fish ARE toxic in a power plant lake. I do not know if they are or are not toxic in this particular case, probably not.
Found this in a websearch, you might want to sign the petition suggesting just what you did in your post. I signed and am #841, don't know how old it is or if it is still going, but good idea if the water and fish are ok. Squaw Creek Petition

do a shock, take all the SAL to Athens, then put the frys in other lakes I think the bigger fish are not affected by electroshocking at least from all I have read.

Bigger fish are susceptible to electrofishing. There are two problems though. One, the big fish are often down deeper and hidden in the brush. They may not come to the surface, or by the time they've floated up, the boat is past and they recover enough to go back down. Two...big fish aren't NEARLY as prevalent as many people think. Just because they're there doesn't mean you'll get 'em with electrofishing.
No fish is too good for the grease.

Sure wish they would open it back up. It would be like a new lake.
