I have a spinning outfit that I can donate, but I don't live anywhere near Dallas. Any recommendations?

I just got back from there, same exact spot...There is all kinds of fish in those lakes, we caught catfish, eels, and a fish that looked like a bass sorta....Alot of soldiers flyfish with great results...I carp fished a little using uncle josh carp bait.....so just about any lures and tackle would work...

JP,

I got a spool of 10 & 2 pound line I will donate. I believe both spools are 5000 plus yards of line. When do we have to have this stuff to Monte by?

Being a retired sailor I want to be a part of this great event. Thanks for doing this.

John

The sooner the better, but we'll keep this up a few weeks, and close it when we have enough stuff to send their way.

Can I donate some cash for you to go to Academy and get a combo rod/reel set or something?

Where would I send a check?

I would prefer if we did product, but you can make a cash donation through PayPal to payments@outdoorsites.net, or send to Outdoor Sites Network, P.O. Box 2061, Grapevine, TX 76099.

I'll see what the Carp Anglers Group and Lonestar Carp Brigade can get together- I know I can do a few rods/reels and some Carp-Specific Rigs.

I've got some dry fly stuff I make - powder and grease floatant. I wonder if that would be of any use there. I'd be glad to donate a couple of dozen bottles.

Not sure where these guys are at...but I have yet to run into them...looks like they are down south of us. If this is the case, then getting Soldiers transported will be an issue. Thanks for posting up thumb

Great idea! I have a lot of fishing "stuff" to send now that I'm retiring from WBT pro-competition. Will take it over in the next week or two. Glad I found this post. I'll spread the word. KM

I received a few emails form people asking if they can be met in different areas of Texas to pick up stuff. We do not have the resources to do this. Your offers are greatly appreciated, but if you can't get your donation to Moritz Chevrolet in Fort Worth, then just send your prayers to the soldiers.

You can also participate on the local level by offering a military person or two the opportunity to go fishing.
