I want to drift with pieces of carp or buffalo. I have limited time and would like to buy one for bait. Do you know where they are sold. I am near Tyler but could pick up one in metroplex if necessary.

Thanks,

Woodrow

what you can do this spring/summer is something my buddies and I do and that is go to the area lakes and rivers and do some bowfishing...then store the carp/buffalo/drum in your freezer for winter. I realize that fresh bait outperforms frozen, but when aquiring such species becomes a bit more difficult this time of year it helps to have a back up plan.

I think most Mexican and Asian markets carry buffalo. noidea I believe the fresh would work better than frozen but have never used the frozen.

We use to buy at the bait store around here a carp. I think they called it the African Carp. It was black. Worked real good for us.

that is illegal btw to shoot a fish with an arrow then release it back to the water or dump it without using it for food or bait. Nice of you to admit it on an open forum that TPWD visits regularly. And you want to talk about ethics and morals? I made a screenshot of the page before you edit again just for my records(and others)

Hmmmm # 1 doing this 15 years ago would be over the statute of limitations. # 2 Even if it wasnt.... where is the evidence? Self incrimination would not work because all he had to say was he didnt do it... he was just fibbing on here.

In summary...I agree with AlbertKing... go crawl back under your evil rock!

They are not game fish. Population control.
