my grandpa used to catch rattlenakes, and sell them. He would of had a field day if he discovered them.

Right now is the best time of year to find snakes though. It is too cold outside for them to be really active. I still wouldn't recommend picking a rattlesnake up, but they certainly aren't very quick right now.

cool pic, but i got it in 3 seperate e-mails saying it was from somewhere on the texas coast, somewhere in new mexico and somewhere in mississippi. dont know for sure where it was,but i'd like to see that first hand

I've seen a couple of dens while hunting in the panhandle.
Both cases I was walking the rim of the Canadian river
breaks and looked down off the rock I was standing on,
Always look before you leap is very good advice it that
part of the world.
Each den had maybe two dozen visible snakes. They like
to come out of the den on sunny days and lie around.

Yea I`ve seen those pictures a few times. I do know that it is not outside of Amarillo because we don`t have that type of sand around here.
