Has anybody seen or used lead free weights? I went to Sports Authority and saw enviroment friendly fishing weights. The package says they disolve over time, but i don't know how much time. I wouldn't mind using that kind but not sure how long they last, or if they are even any good.
Shut up and fish!!

I purchased a 100 pack of plastic sinker slides on ebay and a 200 lot of large brass beads and made my own snagless sinkers.Tied 40lb cajun red mono to the slides and strung on the brass beads. Mine are 4 to 5" long tho. Takes 15 to 20 beads to get the weight I wanted.

I bought some of the Tungsten Weights by mistake at walmart a while back. They rusted in my Tackle Box So I got rid of them. I'm a lead guy till they ban it.

I hate that they replaced most cast net lead with tungsten. When I retire a net the weights get melted down to something useful.

The weights that I saw at Sports Authority look like the lead weights I use, but I guess they disolve after a while. My luck, I would cast then reel it in and have no weight left!!
