i caught a 2.65 pound yellow bass on cedar creek today this was the old state record you can find this on texas fishing and wildlife website Bass, Yellow 2.38 16.00 Mar 11, 2006 Sabine River Zach Wise road runner im sending in the information and photos of mine on monday. this was my last fishing trip till i leave for basic training for the army.. just thought that was a amzing gift might not be a big fish but it is a trophy in my book

Make sure that it isn't a hybrid sandy/yellow bass. They are very decieving. I have a friend who fishes Fork and thought he had a World Record Yellow Bass, only to find out in tests done by TPWD that it was a hybrid.
