what size weight do use when fishing 30 foot or deeper when fishing crappie

If you are talking about jig weight then I would use a 1/8th oz jighead or maybe a 1/4th oz head to fish that deep depending on the wind. thumb

I minno fish... I use what I call a dog ear weight and use a #8 or #9...
Works great.............. wink

If I fish that deep I will be trolling using 3/4 - 1 oz. weight.

3/4 oz casting sinker on bottom. I tie 2 hooks with minnows about 18" from the sinker (or jigs) let the sinker hit the bottom, real up 2 cranks, and troll slow as possible.
