How about some help on what reel gear ratios go the best for a particular application.

Topwater
Small/Medium Cranking
Deep Cranking
Slow Spinnerbait
KVD Burning the Spinnerbait
Shakyhead

Lots of reels are going on sale and I want to make sure a bargain doesn't turn out to be the wrong type of reel.

Appreciate the help

These are all baitcasting ratios

Topwater- 6.0 or better
Small/Medium Cranking- 6.0 or lower
Deep Cranking- 5.3 or lower
Slow Spinnerbait- If your just slow-rolling a spinnerbait I'm not sure it matters but I would go with a 5.0 or less.
KVD Burning the Spinnerbait- 6.0 or better
Shakyhead- 6.0 or better.
