How is looking there---From a reconstruction stand point. I am wanting to plan my spring trip.

I usually stay in Clute/Lake Jackson area and drive down to SLP. How are things looking?? How are the roads?? Blue Water Hwy??

How is Surfside beach doing???

Ive heard beachcomber inn Galveston is open and there is plans to rebuild San Luis Pass Pier ans 61 st pier, but I don't think any local fisherman are still there or have internet access I haven't seen any sign of current info here.

I went wade fishing out there a few weeks ago around mud island. My friend and I cleaned up on flounder using Gulp shrimp and Gulp mullet.

We drove that road a few days ago. There are parts of the road that are gone and there are detours that take you on the beach through the sand. The longest detour was about 1 to 2 miles. The signs say the road is closed to through traffic, but we took it all the way to Galveston.

We have been to San Luis Pass only once before and that was last year. The water looked totally different than I remember. It was very shallow in the pass and into the bay. I didn't remember it being that way at all. I would get some updated info from someone before I made the trip to fish.
