Thought I would post some Texas walleye pictures seeing how i don't see them on here too often or ever really. Caught these walleye with my nephew in the pictures and then my neice wanted a picture of her holding one. The bigger fish are in the 22-23 inch range. The funny thing is she was in her dress she was wearing to a wedding the next day. Date should be 6/2/08 not 07 [/IMG]

Good looking mess of fish!
Where do you catch those - Merideth maybe??
I have never understood why they don't stock them in more lakes around here. I know they like colder water and rocky bottoms but lakes like Possum Kingdom would be great walleye lakes!

When Conroe was first filled, walleye were stocked. Caught a couple of 6 pounders off the LightHouse Dam a year or so later. They sure ate good!! Understand they were not able to reproduce. I heard it was because the water was not cold enough.????

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Jake hit it right on the head. Good ole lake meredith. I know they've tried stocking in other lakes but with limited success. I know they have tried in phantom hill, white river, palo duro, new reservoir called wheeler branch?, Diversion, bridgeport. I think the biggest problem is water temp. and habitat for spawning and egg development.

I would think that canyon lake would work for them.

PK is really deep - I know the water is cold enough down there for them to reprodouce? I looked on the stocking records, it looks like they tried stocking it in the seventies. I guess it didn't work out?
