Is that tire 17" wide x 40 series x 15" wheel?
If so, that's a big ole dude.
What size are the wheels you have? 15" diameter, but how wide are they? And what diameter tire are you wanting to run?

15" rims with a 17" width on the tire. yes theyre freakin huge. i cant afford new ones that size though so im tryin for some 35s or 38s. I dont know the rim width, though. what would look the coolest with the 38s or 35s (width)?

By the 35-38 diameter you mention, I'm assuming mud tires right? No help here on anything that big. Good luck. Jay

psycho-yeah mud tires-im just gonna try and find some 35s or 38s used somewhere which turns out to be kind of difficult. Senko, I think all military tires are on 16.5" rims. That was a good thought though. Thanks guys for the help!

what is the bolt pattern on your wheels? Sometimes it is ALOT cheaper to change all the way to like 15"x10" rims and run some 35's or something or get the 16.5 rims but their beads suck and you can not air them down

A 5-bolt ? What kind of axle is that!? Sounds like you need to swap to a much more manageable tire before your whole axle takes a dump. Then you'll really be looking at some $$$$

Not to mention the trans proplems that will arise from running that large of a tire w/ stock gears. Kind of a time bomb running larger than a 35 imo. Maybe try and look for some used 35's just to get it rolling until you can do axles/gears
