My new son-in-law came home unexpectedly this weekend for his last leave before he heads out to Iraq next month. He's a marine stationed at Camp Pendleton CA. He is only here until Monday night, then back to CA. he goes. I recently told Cliff about him. Cliff, being the great guy he is, went out of his way to take us out tomorrow morning. It was a last minute thing to say the least, but this didn't phase Cliff one bit. He told me that it would be his pleasure, and honor, to put this young man on some catfish before he shipped out. Of anyone I know, Cliff would be the one that could send my son-in-law off with some great fishing, and catching memories. Lord knows my new "son" will need all the happy memories we can give him to cherish, until his return.

I have the utmost respect for all of our service men and women over seas. I am so proud of my new son-in-law, Marcus. I'm glad that Hill Country Fishing feels the same way.

My special thanks goes out to Cliff Hill, and Hill Country Fishing. It is great to know there are people with "big hearts" like Cliff, out there.

I met Cliff and Brother Terry both at the Belton tourney this weekend, I would have to agree on Cliff being a great guy. Brother Terry on the other hand..HHMMMM. Just kidding Brother Terry, it was my pleasure!!!
We look forward to seeing Cliff and Brother Terry at the Arrowhead tourney.

P.S. Cliff will you make sure Brother Terry learns a new verse to that song??

Cliff is a great guy, great fisherman and one heck of a fishing guide.

Now Bro. Terry, you have to admit, you didn't give cliff much of a chance when you changed all his electronics up by using yours on his boat. Could have jinxed him!!

Cliff is a good guy and a good fisherman. Him and Brother Terry keep everyone laughing during the tournamnet. If I was going on a guide trip I would go with Cliff anytime.

What you guys dont know is that he dislocated my shoulder during the tourney going for one of my poles ! he wasnt getting any bites so he pushed me out of the way and drove his shoulder into mine. I was still able to reel in enough fish to carry us to fourth. not only does my shoulder still hurt but my back is killing. from carrying that big hill billy all day!

I have to agree, and a lot of folks don't know it, but Cliff served over there in the "Big Sandbox" back in the early years of the war, and while myself and others where here catching all those fish he graciously left behind, he was there keeping us safe over here, so we could keep doing what we do.

As one old veteran, I knew what he was going through, and when he came back he was even more determined to follow his dream, and do what he does.

Cliff is a genuine people person, and a man with a big heart, and he has a special place for the veteran.

He's come a long way from fishing those banks of the Comal, and Guadelupe, to being one of the best fishing guides in central, and south Texas.

Cliff....Mounger and I do plan on fishing the Arrowhead tourney. I wasn't aware that it was 7 hours for you, hope you can make it!
Bro. Terry mentioned that Cliff hit him going for a pole... I will vouch for him on that one. Mounger and I saw it happen and it was more like a full body block. I would say that I feel sorry for the preacher but after listening to his singing for 2 or 3 hours I would have probably hit him in the mouth...haha! Just kidding again Bro. Terry. It was a noise unto the Lord and it was joyful meeting you guys.
