went out bout 6:30 am this morning .....really really cold..... couldnt find big shad or perch anywhere so i had to use artificial.....hooked first fish about 9:00 am when the temp rose ....went back to marina and got a bite to eat..... noticed shad were popping so i decided that maybe i ought to try to catch some...... ended up catching big shad and perch....drifting over the main lake over humps and depressions was my key factor....drifting over the big dug out bowls and it was a smoke pole

caught 11 and kept four for the table

nice catch

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
