Has anyone fished this event before. If so how are the crowds? Size of the trout aside from the "lunker" stocking? I assume its keep everything you catch. I will be there early saturday morning to catch some more trout.

I think I missed part of this topic but was curious about your comment. What event are your referrring to? It sounds like it would be fun, but it is probably towards San Antonio. I'm in the Dallas area.

i went to the tournament 2009, you can release the trout if you get to the weigh in station quick enough if one dies put it on your stringer put it in the cooler overnight. hooked two big trout proably three pounds each but i was using a bass pro "micro light" so they broke off about 12 dinks, the largest weigh in was 14 lbs or in that area. Great winnings for such a small tournament.I got first in the junior division my friend got second 175$ total!

I think you wer the ones wading in shorts huh? I was the one catching all the trout!!!! totaled 18lbs and spent my money on more fishing stuff. The bite picked back up around 1pm caught two more big ones 17-18" and 15" plus about 10-12 more on powerbait. I had my son reel in a few as well. We are heading back on Tuesday.
