What's the smallest fish you ever caught (accidentally or on purpose)?
Once, when I was about 11 years old, using a hand-line, I fished off the back of my dad's boat in shallow water and caught a minnow about two inches long.
Also, this summer I caught a five inch long largemouth bass that struck an earthworm that I was reeling in for another cast.

2 inch minnows when I was around 6. Used to use the smallest hook i could find- and they have some super small ones. Would take the bread and get the minnows etingm then slip a hook with bread on it in there. Would catch them in the crapie barge nd give em to my grandma to fish with.

Caught a LMB out of a private lake that was smaller than the 5" Rogue I was throwing, brave little sucker. I've caught sunfish on a fly rod that was probably only 3 inches long.
It doesn't matter how you find the pot of gold, all that matters is that you beat the leprachaun.

Caught some tiny shad burning traps a few times. Foul hooked so that really doesn't count. Had a bass just plaster my Pop'r a couple months ago that turned out to be just shorter than the bait itself. Got some pictures of it too so maybe whenever I get them developed I can post them!!

About a 1 1/4 inch perch on a very small fly at Bob Sandlin State Park pond. He hit it just as I was starting my backcast and I yanked him right out of the water..

At Lake Fork I was throwing a Zara Puppy it is about 3 " long. It quit walking and I figured it had some kind of trash on the back hook. When I reeled it in I had a bass caught in the mouth that was less than half the size of the bait. That bass either ended up in a frying pan or in the share a lunker program as mean as he thought he was.

I snagged a shad that was about 2" long on a 1/4 oz rattle trap. What would I snag if I threw a trap that weighed 5 lbs?

BassAllStar - that appears to be a rock bass. As they get older, more red appears near the gills.
Smallest intentional (not foul hooked) was a fingerling bass on Ray Roberts. Got him with a Pop'n Image. Next step up was about 6 inches that hit a fluke, unfortunately he didn't make it on the hookset. He must have really wanted it because he swallowed it and the hook drove through his little brain.
The only true intercontinental champion.
