OK everyone, it's a new year and time to start thinking about our next get-together of the Calaveras Catmen. I'm thinking we should try to do it again in April. Sunday the 12th is Easter so that would not be a good weekend. So let's all look at our calenders for either the 4th or the 18th. Please send in your prefered choice and lets see what we come up with.

I have been talking with Don, The Texas Alien, and he tells me he will be able to set up another registration page like he's done in the past. He will not be able to set up the event due to other obligations so I am volunteering to do it. It will be as it has been in the past. $10.00 entry fee, with half of that money going to the big stringer and half going to the big fish. Depending on the cost of the site for the get-together we may have to add a dollar or two to the entry fee to help pay for it.

There will be many more details once the date has been set. Let's all try to make this the best and biggest get-together.

Michael, since we talked, I have an obligation 4/4. I vote for 4/18.

What ever day Don's wife can attend.

The rest of us just fished and drank beer and/or other beverages.

It's already looking like we're going to have a real good wing ding. We've already got 8 cat men on board and that doesn't include their partners. Keepum comin guys.

Right now let's just concentrate on getting everyone commited to that date. Come march we'll start locking things in as far as what's going to be needed and who's bringing it. I do know that we should have four friers, minimum. Three for cooking fish and one for my wifes spring rolls and lumpia.

Another thought I had for this one was to have three or four different recipes for batter to put on the fish. This will give us all a chance to try different things. What do ya'll think?

I will try to get the same place we had last year, Calaveras Cove. It has lots of room and is near to the rest rooms. Also, I will try to have it reserved from that Friday afternoon,(2pm) all the way through Saturday afternoon,(4pm). This way if anyone wants to come out Fri. and stay over night they will be able to. I will be doing that myself just to make sure no one other than our party is camping there. I did this last year and it worked out great. Parking your vehicle and boat there is no problem. Like I said, plenty of room.

I'm in for the 18th.

Thanks for getting the get together thread started for me this year.
I never dreamed it would still be going after the first one I put together 3 years ago, That's great.

Unfortunately My Family and I probably will not make this year, I guess that's the cost of fishing for a living, no weekends open for other stuff.

I'm sure you guys can handle it, If something does happen where we can make it we'll be there.
