When the Motor is all the way down and I start to trim up the trim mechanism makes a well hard to explain but a noise that can't be good. Almost kinda like fingernails on a blackboard but not as high pitch or squeaky. Can't really tell where its coming from or what to do to fix it.

On a Yamaha you need to keep grease on the top of the posts otherwise they will make some very ugly noises and also do some damage...

Not sure what brand you have with it needs it or not...

Yamaha VMax carb 150. Just smear marine grease on top of the posts?

Mine did the same thing. It made an ugly squeaking/grinding noise. Grease on top of the hydraulic ram fixed it. Also put some grease where the ram contacts the engine.
