anybody on here fish in abilene?

Welcome to the forum. My brother lives in Abilene. We fish at Ft. Phantom when I'm there. There are crappie and largemouth in the lake but the best fishing is for the white bass/striper hybrids. There are several pay to fish docks on the lake but I can't recall the names. Fishing near the dam is usually pretty good.

Hi welcome i love the mud hole i learned to fish and drink beer on her shes like a old pair of shoes not to nice looking but gets the job done i try to hit her once a week this time of year for some nice phantom slabs.

Phantom is great for hybrids and catfish, good for crappie, and not too hot for black bass. Plenty of good crappie in there. If you've never been before, fish the deep ends of docks and you'll figure out which ones have brush.

i'm ganna try it friday about7:30 i'll be at eddies picking up a couple dozen minnows anyone wanna tag along let me know!

Grew up fishing phantom, cant remember a bad day of fishing there, no matter what i was fishing for. Good luck let us know how you did Pappy.

i guess over at the inlet if the wind stays calm i might go over by sail boat

Word from my dad who has fished it, there is NO safe place on that lake if its windy...pick a nice day. Have a friend that lives out there, need to ask & see next time they are biting.

Still going... caught 40 with a partner today. They were slow, took 6 hours to get that many.

I fish Phantom quite a bit. It's a good crappie lake when you get on them. Catfish too.
