I remember a few years back there was a big deal about selling turtles...some guys was putting on a seminar about how they would buy turtles...  Anyone know of someone around Northeast Texas area that buys turtles?

Seems like the seminar was in Mineola...they wanted you to join their co-op and buy their traps and then they would by the turtles you got...after givin them YOUR money!!!

I was at the Guadalupe floating about a month ago, and saw a group of kids, probably high school or early college, in a rubber raft, going around getting turtles. THey would spot turtles and dive in after them, and grab them bare handed. Apparently the regular painted turtles dont bite when you grab them. They had a pile of about 30 turtles in their boat. They were doing it for fun, not to sell they said.

If somebody wants to trap my turtles, they can have them to do with whatever they want.
