I tell you all what, the guys who pay to follow us I will give you my cell number, if you get lost call and I will get you back to the pack.

I'm going to make a DVD for Dan and document every trip, fish ect. While giving what ever guide volunteers for this a great amount of recognition.

Casey

TFF,

On March 21, I have challenged to get Dan a 10 lb. bass. For those of you that do not know Dan, let me tell you a little bit about him. Dan and I met last spring on a guided trip on Fork. That day we caught fish, but not any real big ones. Later that week, I was doing some pre fishing alone. I did not notice that Dan was in his own boat fishing the creek prior to my arrival. In no time I hooked up with a Giant fish. I forget if it was 9 or 10 lbs. He was so excited for me and even offered to take photos, which can be seen at www.costadelmar.com. Since then Dan has hired me to learn Lake Monticello in the winter. Here we must of caught close to 60, still no 10 lber.
Dan moved from New Jersey, just to be close to Lake Fork. His dream since a boy has been to catch a 10 lb. fish. He has left family behind and dedicated his life to this quest.
As a Guide, I notice that some people just have plain luck. I have had many clients that were on their first fishing trip catch 10 lb. fish. They usually do not realize the accomplishment. Some do not know why I am so excited and want to take photos.
I volunteered for this challenge #1 the money and #2 to change Jersey Dan's luck.
For those of you coming out to follow me that day. You will see me approach Lake Fork in a way that many would not dream of doing in March. The baits and techniques will be specifically designed for a big bite. But, please know that I will be working this day and I will be covering many miles of water. This will not be a hole sit situation. I have certain laydowns, stumps, creek channel bends etc. that big fish historically have set up during this time. We will be making short runs and long runs, but the entire lake will be fished.
I thank you all for supporting Dan and I on his quest. I pray that all of you continue this support and come join us for a day on the water!
Thank you also to Casey for assisting Dan in this quest.

Clint, Good luck in your quest. I hope that people keep in mind that this is a Win-Win for both you and Dan. I think that people are mistaking this as a competition between you and Dan - NOT SO!

Dan wants to catch a 10+ as bad as you (or any of us) want to make $2500! I hope that you both reach your goals!

Good luck to both of you,

-Alton

You can't buy a 10lb.r you have to pay your dues like all of us
My brother is a guide on Fork for the last 17 yrs He is a expert
on the lake .and have put famous people on some 10lb. plus including me,...not sight fishing either..out of the last 13 years I have pounded Fork I have only caught 4 at 10lbs.
So that challenge is pretty safe...Why not pay the guide normal
and work as we do...Then you can state I did it on my own.

Man... sounds pretty good - almost good enough to want me to make the 5 1/2 hr. drive to fork for this event...
