I just purchased a used 2006 ranger 169 Ghost flats skiff. This is the first boat that I've owned that has a battery charger. It is a 3 bank ProMariner. I evidently wasn't paying attention when the salesman explained the charging system. He said I just have to plug an extension cord into it. The receptacle is on the console but is the female end. Could someone please explain to how to plug in the battery charger. Thanks

That doesn't sound right but it is a boat Manufacture and who knows. You should be able to just go to your local hardware store and tell them what you need and they make plugs that can convert to what you need. Good luck

I thought about going to the hardware stoe but was afraid that I would get some wrong advice, end up with the wrong part and fry $omething.I called Rockport Marine(where I bought the boat)a little while ago and talked to one of their mechanics. He is going to drive all the way over here to Port A to look at it and figure out what I need. Talk about great service.
