I have a 2007 F150 with a 6 disc changer that only makes a noise and wont eject the disc. I don't care if it does'nt work but it sounds like its trying to do something. I just do not want it to get hot and catch on fire because it does it even if the key is out for long periods of time. Any Help?

Did you replace the whole radio and CD unit and what was the cost? I just missed warranty.

I just removed my 6 disc in dash factory stereo from my 08 Super duty. Also the Sirrus tuner. If it will fit I will make you a great deal on it. Only used about a month.

That unit should come out of the dash really easy. Take it out and unplug it and take to a radio repair and see if they can just take the cd out.

That unit should be really easy to take out. If there are four little holes around the radio then in the glove box there should be two horse shoe looking metal tool with points on them that just go into the holes and release the unit. good luck

Let me take a look at the super duty and see if they are the same. I might be interested. Did you install an aftermarket radio? If so what kind fit in the dash?

Scottsvault,
Did the fuse or batt cable deal eject them?
My wife's Escape has the same problem. I heard that they have had issues. But no recall.

You have to take the front trim panel off, then you will find 2 screws (1 on each side) that hold the radio in place. unscrew em. I woudl suggest you go to crutchfield.com and see what a decent deal you can get on a new head unit. They have a ton of them that will fit (original size or standard single DIN with a cubby adapter that is free from crutchfield). A new head unit will be much better than the stock.
Waiting for mine to go out so I can submit an application to the wifey for a new stereo. good luck
