Ok, with all the stealin going on at our lakes, everyone seems to have an opinion on what to do if they are caught in the act. Every body has also talked about alarms, but I see no links to anything that I can use. I would love to put an alarm onboard, but where do I start looking, who makes them, price, how are they mounted, where do I get them. I need info....

You could probably go to your auto alarm installer and have a system adapted to your boat.

Every car has a built in alarm and every time one has gone off, mine included, I've never observed anyone go over or come over to my vehicle. I doubt it wold be any different with boats. I could see where a LoJack would be a better investment. As far as what's in the boat, take out what you don't want stolen and secure it in your tow vehicle.

Bass Cat uses mercury switches, when a lid or seat is opened it goes off and it is loud.
