I might be heading out to Texoma tomorrow morning and was going to launch the boat at Juniper West. I have never been to that boat ramp before and had two questions. Is there a fee? I hear some say there isn't and some say there is. The TPWD website said it is free, but I've seen a self drop box. Second, I wanted to catch some shad. Anybody have luck near the boat ramp or do I need to cruise somewhere else? Thanks for any help.

Is not free--it's $3 unless you have a golden access pass then it is 1.50.

Will be there tomorrow, black skeeter. Will be over by Cedar Bayou early morn, say hi. Dont really need to use shad this time of year. Wild eyes, sassy's, and dead assassins working good. I've read on 6OG that live bait is getting difficult to get consistently.

we were up there last week and bait was easy....go to the marinas and you could catch all you would need for three days in one net. BUT only catch is they are all 1 1/2 inches up to two some odd inches.

I don't really know what to type here.

Thanks for all the help and info. Ended up launching at Cedar Mills. No luck on shad there. The wind sure made it a rough and wet ride. Only managed one sand bass and two good size cats.
