Hey guys I am going to conroe today at 12:00 for a little crappie fishing I need some advice. I will be fishing 1097 bridge.What depth has the bite been in? What pillons are best at this time of year? Thanks for any help yall can give me..

If you are going to fish the 1097 pylons......start at twelve feet and adjust in one foot increments down to 18 feet.
Also, while at each depth.....slowly lift your minnow or jig up for 5-10 seconds then let it back down.

This morning 4 to 5 cranks off bottom in 32' water.Lots of under size fish.

Here's a good conroe fish story. About two weeks ago I had a crappie break me off on some structure in about 40' of water and I was 26 feet down. Six days later I went back to the same spot and caught that crappie with my jig still in it's mouth. The fish weighted 1.7 lbs.
