Anyone read about the 9 million gallons of raw sewage that was spilled into one of the Lake Lewisville feeder creeks? It's in the Dallas Morning news today.

Now what would really be scary is if it stops stinking when you drive over the bridge on 720 (Main Street in The Colony). That would mean that a leak lasting longer than 2 weeks (it always smells, at least at night.

I notice when fishing the feeder creeks that water almost always flows slightly upstream. I suppose this could be the effect of everyone's sewage going in.

And the Town Council here in Northlake wonders why we are battling against developers who want to build a treatment plant (Temporary) on the back side of the property they want to build several thousand homes on. The run off, up to 2 million gallons, will run right through our properties. They say the run off will be treated and clean water. I pointed out how many times they have had spills in Justin to the council and they acted suprised. (Surprised that we knew I think).

Tell us there will be no smell, just drive through the area at SH 114 and Hwy 377 in Roanoke sometime and see what no smell is like.

I hope the EPA goes after the city of Frisco with the same tenactiy they will go after all of us in the construction industry for items that are so much smaller that this. We get tickets for coke cans in the street or dirt on a sidewalk, I guess dumping sewer is far less offensive. City govts and their inablity to do anything that is competent makes me sick. I hope nothing is damaged long term for this, just a few years ago in Frisco a backhoe doing some work flipped and some of the oil and diesel ran into the ground on the edge of the creek, and that guy and the company were hammered, once again I guess that is worse than the city dumping it's sewer. The city is the owner of that line and if they can charge citizens for it's use then they can also pay the piper the fines when it makes mistakes, just like everyone else.

An estimated 9 million gallons of raw sewage in the lake but they have seen no change in water quality. Hmmm, really.

How do you figure that. If it is a break in a area that is out of site how do you know about it. Most main breaks are found by people calling in.

I went to Lewisville yesterday and wondered what the smell was. It was pretty strong smelling in the coves by the remote control airplane site. Hate to here that.

In the main lake w/S wind you probably smelled the good old Lewisville dump.
