For blades Rapala and Russell are good. Russell is a restaurant type knife, some saltwater bait stores sell them.
For electric the cheapo ge is the best I've found. I have an Amarican Angler but the blades are not great.

I just saw on fleebay that the cutco fishermans solution knives are going for around $38.00 plus shipping brand new. YOU WILL Never beat that price. I just bought another one, so I can have one in the RV, and one in the boat. I guess next year I will buy another for the house.....:D

I have the cutco fisherman's solution knife as well and hands down is the best filet knife I ever used. It is adjustable for length of blade. I like using the lansky knife sharpening system academy sells since I am not good with working a stone.
Also for you deer hunters try the cerrated deer skinning knife by cutco. Good grip, does not need to be sharpened, and will take the head off the neck quick. It can cut a finger quick too. Hope this helps...

And after buying a hook sharpener last night at BP, I finally know what the groove in the sharpening stone on the Cutco sheath is for... DUH... I already had a hook sharpener... Never knew what that groove was for.

I'm looking into buying a new filet knife. Which filet knife do you guys have and like the best????
I have been using cheap ones for a while and they never hold an edge.Nothing more dangerous than a dull blade. Just want a quality filet knife for once. I would have to recommend the Rapala 9 inch also. Had mine for over 30 years and it never failed me and took very little efford to keep sharp. Alas, I lost the knife last year (I think at Fairfield Lake-cleaning fish there). All I have left is the scabbard. I sure cleaned a LOT of fish with it. It will be missed.
