My buddy Kenneth and I had a blast. We ended the day with 63 fish in the boat released all but 8 eaters. Had 10 over 20 with the biggest being 25lbs. 20 or so fish in the 12 to 19 lb range. One the best days ever. No giants this trip but had a blast. We fished anchored with large shad doing our best to keep 12 rods baited out at times we just gave up. Right now is blue cat time. This has been one the best winters I have had this is my first year to target blues out of a boat and man does it make a difference. The main thing was I spent a great day of fishing with one my best friends.

It's a blessing to have a good fishing buddy/friend. great fish and it looks like you did have fun.

Where ya'll fishin' whole shad or cut shad? Did ya'll stop where you saw baitfish on your electronics? Drop-off or flats? I need some of that action! I have a freezer full of fresh shad and need to use them!

whole, cut 2 or 3 on one hook what ever I grab to make a big bait. We found the fish with electronics although on that day I think you could have been just about anywhere. Spend a little time looking for the arcs under bunched up shad balls and either drift or anchor up in that area.
