I have a ton of small shinners in my creek that I like to use as bait. I was wondering of anyone else catches there own bait and what type of minnows are they? thanks!

some of the asians that fish the creek @ w/r always seine there own minnows in small creeks like yours .i believe they are called ghost minnows

some of the asians that fish the creek @ w/r always seine there own minnows in small creeks like yours .i believe they are called ghost minnows I have seen asians net ghost minnows, but not im my creek. I catch daces & popeye shiners.

i catch my own all the time. usually creek chubs.

We have a couple of stock tanks out at the ranch that have minners... if we're gonna fish with them, we catch our own.

not really but recently all of the shad in our lake are near the surface so maybe theyll work for some bass
