Man!! I cant wait untill March..Got some 2 brand new Calcutta TE 400LJV's!! Now all I have to do is sit and wait! REds & Trout watch out!

Whats the latest on the bolivar? Did they fix bridge at Gilcrest?

My wife and I were down there to see all the damage. The bridge is open but carry everything with you because there is nothing left. We spent at least one week a year in beach house in the Gilchrist area and will now have to find another place.

Bridge is open but he is right..Bring everything you will need to stay down there!Just not the same place!But I'll still be down there all summer..

Is the surf fishing pretty good down there in spring? Have not fished there, just moved up this way.

Thank for the update.
Surf fishing is good for sharks and bull red in spring. Summer time the trout fishing gets better. The pass is a good place to fish but it all about timming the tride right.

Better fish it while you can, Commish Jerry Patterson wants to close Rollover due to cost of maintaining it at proper level. The Pass has been blamed for the erosion of the beaches in that area.
The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

The figure I saw was it cost $ 900,000.00 per year to keep the pass flowing. Sounds like the State wants its closed before anybody can rebuild, which would make it harder to justify closing it.

Ya thats funny maintain have you seen that place be for the storm!!?? More like lack of!! I like fishing there but it could be much better if the would have fixed the East surf side wall.
